points included:
Fires' role in forest ecology, including historic cycles.
How forest health has changed since modern forest management
has come
into play.
Large tree tree die-offs, particularly the pines and aspens, including
their severity, how wide spread they have been, a history of past episodes,
what can be done about them, and what is the long term prognosis for the
results.
Note: We had planned this meeting for Sept 12th, but a scheduling
conflict had us move it to a later date.
